Online NxN Rubik's Cube Solver and Simulator

Online Rubik's Cube, 4x4x4 and other NxNxN cube solver and simulator. Set up a scramble rotating the faces of the puzzle or using the color picker to find the rotations leading to the solution. Apply a sequence of moves, perform a random scramble or reset to the solved state with a click of a button. First select the desired cube size in the menu: 2x2 Pocket Cube, 3x3 Rubik's Cube, 4x4 Revenge, 5x5 Professors, 6x6x6 up to 15x15x15 cube to get started.

Cube simulator

Play with the cube online by dragging the faces and layers with your mouse, or swipe the screen on a touch device. Rotate the whole cube by dragging outside of it. Scroll to zoom in and out.

Apply a random scramble with the Scramble button, then try to find the solution yourself by dragging the faces or using the keyboard:

FfUuRrBbLlDd

Lower case turns the face clockwise, upper case counterclockwise. and step through the solution, or undo and redo your own moves. While the color picker is open, 1 to 6 select a color.

Open the Moves menu to turn any single layer with a button, or to type a sequence in standard notation, for example F R2 U'. A prime turns anticlockwise and a 2 is a half turn. Lower case or a w suffix makes it a wide turn, f or Fw, and a leading number reaches a deeper layer, 2F.

Cube solver

Those who cannot solve the Rubik's Cube might need some help. Enter a scrambled cube by hand, with the scramble button or with the color picker, and let the program find the solution for you.

The program solves the Rubik's Cube in roughly 140 steps with a layer-by-layer method. It solves the 4x4x4 and larger cubes by grouping the centers and edges first and then finishing it like a 3x3, which takes about 700 rotations for a 4x4x4 puzzle. Press play and watch the animation, or click through the move list one move at a time.

For an optimal solver see the Ruwix solver, which fixes the cube in 20 moves or fewer.

Patterns

Add a new challenge to the game by making pretty Rubik's Cube patterns. Under the Patterns menu, select an effect and the algorithm that produces it is shown on screen.

Color picker

Open the color picker to enter the cube you are holding. Choose a color, click the stickers to paint them, then press Check to validate the configuration and Solve to work out the moves.
